Enniskeane New Store Opened

Posted on: 30 Aug 2022

Bandon Co-op’s new Homevalue Enniskeane store was officially opened on Saturday by special guests Phil Healy & Patrick Horgan.

The weather was very much in Bandon Co-op’s favour and a huge crowd turned up to celebrate the grand opening. Hundreds of selfies were taken as kids and grown-ups alike were delighted to meet local Olympian Phil Healy, and Cork hurling star, Patrick Horgan. Not only that, everyone was very taken with Ireland’s most photographed pooch, The Dulux Dog!

Following speeches from CEO Ger Brickley and Bandon Co-op Chairman Vincent O’Donovan, the chairman was delighted to present two local community groups with vouchers for €1000 each. The groups benefitting from this donation were BEDA (Ballineen Enniskeane Development Association) and Ballineen Enniskeane Tidy Towns Association. The great work that both these groups do in the area must be celebrated and acknowledged.

Following the official store opening, customers were treated to half price offers, free gifts, gardening discounts, competitions, a free BBQ, ice cream and fun kids’ activities.

Bandon Co-op would like to thank everyone involved in the store renovations and the organising of the official opening event. It’s fair to say that lots of fun was had by everyone and the newly-renovated store is a great addition to the Ballineen/Enniskeane community.

More photos of the day by Donie Hurley to follow on social media in the coming days.
