Arc Rapid-Set is a cement-based, thin-bed ceramic tile adhesive, for fixing ceramic floor and wall tiles, mosaics, natural and lightweight pre-cast cladding brick slips. Arc Rapid-Set forms a strong bond with concrete, render, blockwork and brickwork. Arc Rapid-Set is fully water-resistant; frost resistant; suitable for interior / exterior use and locations which are subject to regular wetting, e.g. showers, saunas and bathrooms.
MIX PREPARATION
Do not use when temperatures are below 5°C. Rapid-Set should be added to water in a clean container whilst mechanically stirring and mixed thoroughly to give a soft, slump-free, easily worked mortar. The recommended mixing proportions by volume are 1 part water to 3 parts powder (approx 5L water per 20kg bag). The consistency of the paste can be adjusted with slight additions of water or powder at the initial mixing phase, however partused adhesive should never be “freshened up” with later water additions. Arc Rapid-Set will remain workable for 30 to 40 minutes and then reach final set after about 2 to 3 hours.
