Anyone who has encountered Dermot in his normal day job at Bandon Co-op Kinsale will know that Dermot is extremely passionate about all things Dairy and we are delighted to have access to this fountain of knowledge!

"On a visit to the 2022 world Dairy Expo in Maddison Wisconsin, I had arranged a visit to the Hoards Dairyman Farm, while on the farm the idea of preparing a study on the Irish Dairy Industry was conceived, this is the story:
The Hoards Dairyman is a very prestigious dairy magazine, covering all aspects of the Dairy Industry. The magazine was established by W.D Hoard in 1885 in Geisel in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Every dairy in North America would read this magazine, as well as South America and around the world. The magazine is a great promoter of all things dairy, so it was a fitting publication to have the article on the Irish Dairy Industry included in it.
This magazine is responsible for the development of the Dairy Industry as we know it today. This is the first international article printed in the magazine. Special mention to Brooklyn O’Connell and Michael Power, Belgooly for their assistance."
